How to set up job alerts that surface the right roles (and apply early)
Being an early applicant genuinely helps. Here's how to build alerts across boards that bring the right jobs to you every morning.

Applying early matters — roles get the most attention in their first days, and some close once they hit a cap. Good alerts put fresh, relevant roles in front of you before the crowd, without you refreshing tabs all day.
Build tight alerts, not broad ones
On Indeed, Naukri and LinkedIn, create several narrow alerts (specific role + location + recency) rather than one vague one. Narrow alerts have a high signal-to-noise ratio, so you'll actually open them. Include remote as its own alert if that's an option for you.
Make a morning routine
Skim alerts once a day, shortlist the 2–4 that genuinely fit, and apply the same day. Track them in a simple sheet so nothing slips. This beats binge-applying to 30 roles once a week — consistency and speed win.
Then apply well
Speed only helps if the application is strong. Keep a base resume ready and tailor it quickly to each role — a fast tailoring tool means being early and being matched aren't a trade-off.
